Check valve is a key valve type in fluid control system, playing an important role in preventing medium backflow and protecting pipeline and equipment safety. The working principle of Erect Check Valve is mainly based on the power generated by medium flow. When the fluid flows in the pipeline, its pressure pushes the valve disc to rotate around the shaft, thereby opening the valve channel and allowing the fluid to pass smoothly. At this time, the rotation angle and opening degree of the valve disc are proportional to the fluid pressure, ensuring the efficient circulation of the fluid.
When the fluid flows back or the pressure in the pipeline drops to a certain level, the valve disc will be affected by gravity, spring force (if equipped) or fluid reverse pressure, and begin to rotate in the opposite direction around the shaft until the valve channel is completely closed. This process is rapid and automatic, effectively preventing the backflow of the fluid and protecting the safety of the pipeline system.
The upright installation provides a certain stability for this check valve. Since the key components such as the valve disc and the shaft are more directly subjected to gravity in the vertical direction, the risk of false operation caused by vibration or fluid impact can be reduced, and the reliability and service life of the valve can be improved.
The installation posture and working principle of upright check valves have been widely used in many fields. For example, in water supply and drainage systems, they are often installed at the outlet of water pumps to prevent water hammer when the pumps are stopped and protect the water pumps and pipelines from damage. In addition, in fluid delivery systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and metallurgy, upright check valves also play an important role, ensuring that the medium can still flow stably and safely under complex and changing working conditions.
It should be noted that although upright check valves have many advantages, they still need to be reasonably selected according to specific working conditions and medium characteristics in actual applications. For example, for media with high viscosity, easy to crystallize, or containing solid particles, it may be necessary to select specially designed check valves to avoid blockage or damage.
